Your domain or HFS password is used to log into your computer. The requirements for this password are that it has 15 characters long and cannot be changed within 4 days of changing it. No special characters, numbers, or capitalized letters are required but can still be used. 



I know my password and it hasn't expired yet:

If you are logged in and want to reset your password, press and hold CTRL + ALT + DELETE and click "Change a password". You will be asked to type your old password and your new password twice.


I know my password and it hasn't expired yet and I have a Macbook or I am on a personal computer:

On a web browser, go to secure.colostate.edu/hds-staff and sign in with your current HFS (domain) credentials.

In the top right corner, click on the Blue Wrench, Preferences Button

Then click on the General Tab

Once on the General Tab, type your current password on the top box and then your new password in the next two and click Change
