If you have the Microsoft Teams app on your phone and have a Teams Voice number tied to your account then you will receive calls from your Teams Voice number on that device. However, if you don't set up quiet hours through the Microsoft Teams app then this number can ring your phone outside of business hours and at undesired times. This guide will walk through how to enable and configure quiet hours on the Teams mobile app to limit the hours when you will get notified about incoming calls.

1. Open the Teams app on your device. If you're already signed in skip to step 2. If not, please sign in using your NetID@colostate.edu (NOT first.last@colostate.edu, this will cause Microsoft to say the account doesn't exist).

2. Once signed in look for your profile picture (or initials if you haven't set a profile picture) at the top right corner and click it and the side menu should appear.

3. In that side menu click on "Notifications."

4. In this menu look for/scroll down till you find "Block notifications" and then click "During quiet hours."

5. In this menu you can define certain hours or all day where Teams will block notifications. Note this is effected by the option on the previous menu on what notifications get sent to your device, by default this is set to all.

6. For certain hours option you can define which hours quiet hours will start and stop at and which day that will be active on. For the example below, quiet hours are active from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Note, you can only set one period of time, currently there is no way to set multiple different periods through the Teams app. If you want to configure multiple different time periods please contact the HDS Technology Services Helpdesk at 970-491-4734 for assistance.

7. The All Day toggle will block Teams notifications for the entirety of the day separate to the hours set above in the "Certain hours" setting. In the above example, notifications are getting blocked all day Saturday and Sunday.

8. This process will prevent only the notification of new activity (chats, calls, mentions, etc.) in the Teams app during the selected times. This will NOT stop them from coming in altogether. You will still be able to see new activity present on the app even during quiet hours, you simply won't get the notification for them.
